February 2026 pānui

Our mission to redesign our economy around the wellbeing of our people and te taiao is more urgent and important than ever. The challenges are big, but so are our plans to grow a movement that can meet them.

To kick off 2026 we are launching a membership option

Across the motu, we feel like we’re building something pretty special. We see a growing community of people who know our unjust unsustainable economy was designed, therefore it can be redesigned in service to life.

That's why we're delighted to now be able to offer a more formal way for more people to join the Aotearoa Alliance. By becoming a member you can:

  • Get invited to members' only events

  • Be part of a national movement for economic systems change

  • Connect with other members

  • Help sustain and grow this work into the future

  • Publicly stand for an economy in service of people and planet

Which brings us to more good news...

We are proud to be a supporting partner of Gary’s Economics upcoming talk in Auckland.

UK-based Gary Stevenson is a standout voice in the economic systems change space, is a champion for wealth equality, and has a following in the millions.

Through this collaboration, we aim to advance public understanding of the economic forces driving inequality and create space for meaningful dialogue on pathways toward a fairer, more resilient, and more participatory economy in Aotearoa.

We’re excited to partner on this event and share our message with our largest audience yet. We hope to see you there.

With deep appreciation for all that you do,
Ngā mihi,
Gareth Hughes (Director)

P.S - Please help us get the word out about Gary’s event and our membership invitation.
